Consultant Anaesthetist | Pain Management | Bay Of Plenty Nz

We are seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist with expertise in Pain Medicine to join a dedicated team in a regional general hospital providing secondary level care to a population of over 200,000.

The role is rewarding, working with a multidisciplinary team, including registrars and house officers embarking upon their training in anaesthesia.
Scope of practice across general anaesthesia services for orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology, radiological procedures, and pain management.
Some regional travel will be required to conduct clinical sessions in satellite hospitals.
40-hour working week plus on-call duties.
The hospital is a 360-bed public sector general secondary care facility providing 24-hour elective and emergency medical and surgical services. The local tertiary referral centre is Auckland.

Requirements for this job:
Qualified Specialist Anaesthetist with FANZCA or equivalent qualification.
Subspecialist training in pain management with certification with FFPMANZCA (or equivalent).
Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Specialist Anaesthetist.
Remuneration:
Basic salary NZD 190,000-270,000 pa.
Additional on-call and out-of-hours allowances.
Study allowance.
Superannuation.
6 weeks annual leave.
