Consultant Addiction Specialist at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Wellington CommunityNau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley DistrictLocation: Wellington Community - 113 Adelaide Road, Newtown, WellingtonContract: Permanent, full timeWe are looking for a Consultant Addiction Specialist at our Tuhonohono Addiction Services.The role also involves working closely with case managers and other staff within the service, to ensure collaborative care. The Consultant is responsible for liaison and support of primary care providers as well as NGO partners. The role entails supporting the medical development of this service and liaising with other services/hospital departments as required.Tuhonohono Addiction Services (Community Alcohol and Drug Service, Opioid Treatment Service, provision of the Managed Withdrawal Service and Co-Existing Disorder Service) is a multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, specialist medical staff, and administration staff. We are a collective of skilled professionals that value working in a client and whanau centred manner, including cultural and community connections, to deliver high quality services to those we work with.Vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)Hold Fellowship in Addiction Speciality or Fellowship with medical college and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZOr Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist (FRANZCP)Faculty of the chapter of Addiction Medicine can be entered through a number of training pathways (including General Practice)Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teamAble to provide consistently high standards of medical careRelevant experience and trainingHere at Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District we embrace diversity and welcome applications from all people, including all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, disability and religions.
