You need to love working with people and have a real passion for customer service.What we offer at Prime Hotels:A positive working environment, in a supportive team.Meals provided on duty and regular staff get-togethers (if that's your thing!)Competitive payrates (starting at $26 to $30, depending upon experience)Full time position minimum 30 hours (for a 24/7 operation)Rewards and recognition programmeAccommodation and Food & Beverage discounts at our full portfolio of properties in the most beautiful North Island locations.The chance to live and work in the stunning Bay of Plenty region.Accredited Employer: we can hire visa holders.What we'd like from you:The successful candidate will be responsible for smooth running of the reservations and conference departments on a day-to-day basis, including but not limited to:Preparing conference, events and groups quotes in a timely manner.Be customer orientated.Ensuring conference rooms are set up correctly, monitoring service delivery throughout the conference.Assisting in hotel operations.Ensuring profitability is maximized and customer needs are met.Following standard operating procedures and check lists.Having excellent communication, both written and verbal with customers, colleagues and Management.The ideal candidate will be energetic and have a hands-on approach.Attention to detail, especially when it comes to contracting and billing.A Level 4 Certificate in Hospitality, Tourism or Sales & Marketing is required together with working experience of at least 3 years in a hotel with a conference centre, or office environment, preferably at a Supervisory / Managerial level.Current First Aid & Manager's Certificate (or ability to gain these) would be an advantage.You will have good computer skills including knowing how to use: a PMS system (preferably RMS; or Opera), an Event Manager System (preferably RMS event), a CRM, and be proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.About Us:Hotel Armitage is known for having a fun-loving team with supportive managers.
