The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. We are committed to ensuring all communities have access to safe drinking water every day. The team is responsible for supporting operational activities including coordinating responses to incidents and leading investigations.The Compliance Officer will:act as a Compliance Officer under the Water Services Act 2021identify and recommend corrective actions for any non-compliance issuesdevelop and maintain effective working relationships with drinking water suppliers, regional councils as the consent authorities for wastewater, and key external stakeholderscontribute to the delivery of incident and emergency response activity in Taumata Arowai as needed.We are looking for someone who has:3+ years' experience working in a regulatory environment in an operational roleunderstanding of regulatory compliance interventions and when to apply themdemonstrated ability to exercise statutory powers with good practical judgementgood communication and interpersonal skillsthe flexibility to travel away at short notice within New Zealanda current full driver's license.Me pehea te tuku tono | How to applyTo apply, please visit our Nga Mahi | Careers Page or directly through Seek.
