We're launching new products and partnerships while staying true to our core; that we're people helping people, powered by a world-class funding system.Incredibly high standards drive us to give our customers the best service in the finance industry, so it's no surprise that our NPS scores and review ratings are amongst the best in the industry worldwide.Motor Trade Finance Limited is listed on the NZDX.This role provides regulatory advice & guidance to the business on all regulatory requirements & obligations applicable to our business (FAP/FMCA, AML/CFT, CCCFA, Responsible Lending, Privacy Act, etc…), and partners with product development & business transformation to ensure MTF is 'compliant by design'.This role supports the General Counsel, Head of Risk & Compliance with regulatory affairs, reporting & communication; proactively reviews consultation papers & new regulations to assess impact to MTF, and provides advice on internal policy documentation.This role ensures MTF license requirements are kept up to date, and supports the AML Compliance Officer to ensure effective management of the AML Programme and MTF Finance Designated Business Group.We work in a fast paced, agile & continuously improving environment – a willingness and openness to work on a range of tasks as our business grows is essential.Just some of the things you're responsible for:Act as subject matter expert on regulatory compliance providing advice & guidance.Partner with product and new business development, to ensure MTF is 'compliant by design' and act as key SME on projects & working groups.Review, update & advise on internal policy documentation and ensure regulatory obligations are captured accurately.Support the AML Compliance Officer to ensure effective management of the AML Programme and MTF Finance Designated Business Group.Provide specific FAP support & guidance to business.Oversee Regulatory Horizon Scanning (performed by the Compliance Operations Coordinator).Provide recommendations to management on continuous improvement or opportunities to streamline regulatory implementation.Own & complete MTF licenses and certification (FSPR, DIA, Commerce Commission, IFSO) processes and ensure up-to-date.Own & complete regular reporting to supervisors (Department of Internal Affairs, Financial Markets Authority, and Commerce Commission).Review consultation documents as required and coordinate MTF response.You'll need to have:5+ years of previous experience in financial services or another regulated industry.Tertiary education or other professional services / role-related qualification.A sound understanding of and ability to apply regulatory parameters into a business (ideally this includes FAP, CCCFA, Privacy and Anti-Money Laundering & Countering Financing of Terrorism rules and regulations).What you'll receive in return:We're an iconic New Zealand business that is on a mission to be New Zealand's favourite finance company, and we're proudly based in Dunedin.We share our success with our team - our incentive schemes are based on both individual and business outcomes.A dynamic and collaborative culture with a central and modern office space and a team that enjoys working together and is proud to be part of MTF.A supportive and vibrant culture where our people work together to deliver on our commitments.Plenty of development opportunities, coaching, and support.Competitive remuneration package which includes fully funded medical insurance, performance incentives, and flexible leave options and benefits.The opportunity to progress your career in Dunedin.
