About the Company Our client is a thriving office interiors business based in the city fringe. This role reports to the Managing Director with professional guidance available from an external accounting firm. We are looking for an energetic and engaged Accountant to provide financial reporting and expertise to the business. Our candidate selection process will be based on your ability to do the job rather than professional qualifications. This is primarily an office based role with the opportunity to work from home as needs require. About the Role Specific responsibilities will include receivables, payables, payroll for approx. 30 people (mixture of monthly salaries and weekly wages), managing intercompany transactions, and production of period end accounts and reports. Job reporting and work in progress is an important element of the role as is monitoring of Billing and Cash Flow. Xero is the accounting package utilised and Excel is used extensively in reporting and analysis work. Ad hoc reporting, administrative and analysis work for the management and sales team will also be required. Whatever needs to be done needs to be done. About You Suitable candidates will have a demonstrated background of sole charge accounting and office management responsibilities in a small to medium sized organization. Accounting qualifications are not essential so long as you can competently undertake the duties and responsibilities of the role. You will need to be practical and well organized with a particular attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. You will need to be flexible and adaptable and willing to contribute to a small and very busy team environment. A willingness to contribute to ongoing improvements and efficiencies is also essential.
