We are seeking an individual who will inspire, encourage, be a role model, plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.Your role will include coordinating meaningful activities, encouraging client participation, assistance with daily house tasks, and supporting individuals to set and achieve their goals. Further assisting in gaining and maintaining social, health, education, whanau and cultural reconnection.Your days may vary, but will consist of:Engaging with clientsSetting and achieving individual personal goalsEncouraging client participation in day to day lifeSupporting them with activities of daily livingEnsuring support with medication and considering client needsSupporting clients with personal hygieneActivities within the communitySupporting social and whanau connectionMotivating clients to know they have purposeEnsuring client processes are accurately documentedMost importantly supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling livesAs we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend and awake night shifts.The hours of work are at present: Full Time Positions - 80 Hours Per FortnightDesired Skills and ExperienceExcellent communication and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain working relationships with our clients, staff and external agencies is essential. Previous professional experience in the mental health field is desirable.A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is also desirable but not essential. Otherwise, there is an expectation that you will be willing to start working towards obtaining a level 4 mental health qualification after your first year of employment.A full driver's licence and computer skills are essential.If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months.Must be available for an interview in Lower Hutt.Please do not apply unless you already have the right to work in New Zealand.
