Position Title: Community Sport Coordinator Organisation: Disability Sport and Recreation Hawke's Bay (DSRHB) Location: Working from home and Sport Hawke's Bay office Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week About Us At DSRHB, our mission is to provide individuals with disabilities access to quality sport and recreation opportunities that promote fun, health, and competition. Our vision is inclusive sport and recreation for all in Hawke's Bay. Key Responsibilities Work with schools, sports clubs, and community organisations to deliver engaging programmes that increase sport and recreation opportunities for DSRHB members. Organise and coordinate events, ensuring effective delivery and risk management. Strengthen relationships with regional sports organisations and disability support services to expand participation. Serve as a positive ambassador for DSRHB, promoting our mission and fostering community engagement. Increase active membership and support athletes interested in pursuing competitive pathways. About You To succeed in this role, you will need: Experience in sport development and event coordination Strong relationship-building and communication skills Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities A passion for community sport and creating inclusive environments Qualifications: Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience Why Join Us?
