Together, we're on a journey to see communities transformed and futures reimagined through compassion, connection, and action.Mo te turanga | About the roleThe Community Outreach Worker is responsible for connecting with the homeless community throughout the Northwest region. The Outreach Worker will build relationships with homeless individuals not yet engaged with Visionwest services and connect them to appropriate resources. The role also includes fostering partnerships with external organisations that share similar goals for the homeless community and coordinating efforts when necessary. While most of the work will be community-based, the role requires frequent office time for accurate record-keeping, reporting, and administrative tasks.You will have good networking skills and existing relationships with a wide range of agencies within the Auckland area, for example MSD, local churches, CAB's, Probation and Auckland City Council.
