Community Liaison and Operations Co-ordinator Due to the departure of a valued team member, we have the exciting opportunity for a Community Liaison and Operations Coordinator to join our team based in Nelson.
As our Community Liaison and Operations Coordinator, you will help to enable the game to continue to develop in Tasman, in accordance with the New Zealand Rugby and Tasman Rugby Union strategic direction.
The position aims to lead administrative systems and processes within Tasman Rugby, while supporting the community rugby manager to effectively administer fair and equitable competitions.
Your responsibilities include: Design and implement season draws for Senior, Age-Grade, and Junior grades in Tasman and Sub Unions.
Allocate venues, fields, and timings for weekly matches across all grades.
Collect and organise competition information, such as team entries and club days.
Manage the online registration process for players, coaches, referees, and volunteers.
Assist the Community Rugby Manager in understanding and implementing rules and regulations for competitions and provide support with match day operations, including club finals, sevens, representative fixtures, FPC, and NPC.
Build connections and collaborate with schools and clubs to support and educate them in operational and administrative matters.
Coordinate and complete accreditation for players and officials involved in NPC and FPC campaigns.
Train and coordinate match day volunteers for NPC matches.
Assist in the development and monitoring of relevant budgets.
Provide progress reports and information to the Manager throughout the year.
As the successful candidate, you will have: Skills in presenting information to rugby school/club personnel in various situations.
Experience in implementing systems, processes, and procedures and proficient in administration.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, flexibility, and reliability.
Willingness to take ownership and be held accountable.
