A great opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our Auckland Community Engagement team, working 40 hours per week. This role is based in Ellerslie, we offer a hybrid working model and you will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone to enable you to work flexibly. Travel may be required from time to time, so a full clean driver's licence is essential.
Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, a fundamental part of this role is about providing high level administrative support to our local Area Committees in the Northern Auckland District which includes Wellsford, Warkworth, Helensville, North Shore, Hibicus Coast, West Auckland, Waiheke and Central Auckland.
Hato Hone St John Area Committees are made up of highly valued Tuao (volunteers) who have a strong community focus. Therefore, we are seeking someone who brings equal passion for meeting community needs and has the ability to easily build strong relationships with Area Committees, internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide financial support by assisting with grant applications, and managing budgets.
Resolve queries, process and authorise invoices and purchase orders, and handle general administrative tasks.
Develop community impact plans and coordinate with support networks for Area Committees.
Assist in community engagement activities, facilitate learning opportunities, and organise District Forums.
Participate in promotional and fundraising efforts.
Oversee property maintenance and write content for the regional newsletter and social media with a high standard of written English.
Understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi (desirable) and have knowledge of tikanga Maori and Te Reo, or a genuine willingness to learn.

Skills and experience you'll bring:
Previous administration and basic accounting experience.
Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.
Confidence in working across the MS Office Suite.
A strong customer focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A high level of professionalism and a 'can-do' attitude.
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours occasionally.
Ability to adapt changes quickly.
A full clean New Zealand driver's licence.
