1.0 FTE / permanent 80 hours per fortnight Blenheim location Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position) This position will give a nurse theopportunity to establish the role so the service can offer community detox inline with National Guidelines. The role will support people who experience drugand alcohol dependence and reduce the harms associated with use.
You will be working with an experiencedmulti-disciplinary team committed to providing high quality care to consumersand their family and whanau. This is an opportunity to further develop competenciesin addiction treatment in a supportive and positive learning environment. Youwill facilitate a range of clinical interventions aimed at promoting theindividual's well-being, aiding them in their recovery and enhancing theircapacity to participate in community life. 
This position is based in Marlborough and thehours for this role is Monday to Friday between 8.00AM to 5.00PM, 40 hours perweek.
Ko wai he kaitono totika? (Whois an appropriate applicant?) You will be a New Zealand registered Nursewith a current APC and preferably with some addiction experience but notessential as can offer training.
You will have a sense of humour, compassion,excellent communications skills, a non-judgmental attitude and a focus ondeveloping interventions to reduce alcohol and drug related harms for both theindividual and the community. It will also be important that you areexperienced in delivering assessments and case management. You will also beable to demonstrate your ability to work with a range of cultures and be a teamplayer.
The successful candidate must be eligibleto work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
