Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Te Tai Tokerau (Northland)


We are seeking applications from Community Dentists interested in joining the Oral Health Service based in Northland New Zealand. There are both full and part time roles available based in Whangarei but will involve frequent travel to rural hospitals and community clinics across the region.

The Oral Health Service is an integrated hospital and community service providing oral healthcare to the Northland population.

Our community dentists assist with treatment beyond the scope of practice of a Dental / Oral Health Therapist and assist with patients under sedation, general anaesthetic, the medically compromised, eligible pre-schoolers, students, adolescents, and adults. This position would suit a motivated individual with a post graduate qualification or great interest in public oral health.

Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.

To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist and/or general dentistry registration (including APC) with the Dental Council New Zealand. A current New Zealand driver's licence is also required as this role includes frequent travel.
