We are on a growth mission to lead and inspire our industry through innovation and the development of exceptional financial services products whilst fostering a motivated and engaged workplace culture that is centered around personal growth and high performance.Role Overview:The Communications Manager reports to the Head of Marketing and will play a pivotal role in delivering communications that support our business strategy. As we embark on a period of significant growth, the Communications Manager will be responsible for providing quality writing and digital content with a focus on financial literacy, product promotion, and thought leadership that engages staff, shareholders, customers, and our introducer network. The role represents an opportunity to help tell our story through your writing and regular communications for our New Zealand and Australian businesses.As Communications Manager, you can expect to:Work with people across the organisations, from our executive team to front-line teams, to develop and execute our internal and external communication plans from end to end.Elevate our market presence through regular digital content, thought-leadership, website content, and by fostering media relationships.Assist with writing customer lifecycle communications and regular newsletters.Create and manage social content and blogs and ensure our websites are reviewed and updated regularly.Regularly track, report and optimise our comms activity.Lead projects as required, including product changes, customer migrations, and system enhancements.We are looking for candidates who have:5+ years of corporate communications or content writing experience, having delivered effective comms activity whilst working collaboratively with the wider business.Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with proven writing experience across internal and external comms and a strong portfolio.Confident in communicating with people at all levels.Highly motivated, with the ability to work autonomously. Proactive.Inquisitive, not afraid to ask questions and always looking to improve.Ability to manage deadlines and communicate accordingly.Technical experience using various communications and marketing tools, i.e., MS Teams and SharePoint, Viva Engage, social platforms, email marketing software, website CMS, and video editing.Knowledge of the financial services industry is advantageous but not essential.A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is preferred.What's in it for me?Within the Avanti Finance Group, you can look forward to flexible and hybrid working as we offer up to two days working from home following the initial training period.
