Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications) Contract/Temp We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive individual to lead the Tauranga Moana Biosecurity Capital (TMBC) programme.
Who we are TMBC is a multi-stakeholder engagement initiative that is about leading and taking collaborative action towards biosecurity excellence and building a network of biosecurity champions.
The role The Comms and Events Manager will work alongside the TMBC leadership team to demonstrate value to the membership and wider community.
You will be our go-to person on how we present ourselves to our stakeholders and the wider community.
The role will provide strategic direction on communication and event opportunities for increasing awareness of the partnership and its objectives and will require engagement across multiple stakeholders to build momentum and support for the TMBC initiative.
Responsibilities include: Develop and coordinate the TMBC communications and engagement strategy and resulting programme of work Draft the TMBC e-newsletter by proactively coordinating content on biosecurity activities and initiatives Identify awareness raising and engagement opportunities Develop and deliver appropriate digital public awareness campaigns Manage the TMBC social media channels and work with TMBC partners to ensure distribution through their channels Lead the TMBC communication working group on a schedule of proactive media stories around TMBC initiatives, events and partner case studies Oversee membership management and related databases Support the drafting of grant applications Undertake the administration needs and requirements of the incorporated society Manage the programme budget Skills and Experience: Excellent written and communication skills Experience in media, corporate and stakeholder communications Ability to manage public awareness and social media campaigns Understanding the administration needs of an incorporated society Contract Term: The contract for service is for an initial 12 months from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025 with the potential to extend these terms and is based on up to 24 hours a week.
