We're looking for a Communications and Engagement Lead who's all about connecting with people, sharing ideas, and driving positive change.As our Communications and Engagement Lead, you'll be working closely with our Community-led Prevention Partner initiative team, helping us spread the word about family violence and sexual violence prevention. You'll co-design communications strategies, create engaging content, and work with local leaders, media, and community groups to amplify the voices of those making a difference in their communities.If you're someone who loves getting to know different communities and knows how to communicate clearly and effectively across multiple platforms, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesCo-designing and rolling out our communications plan for the Community-led Prevention Partner initiative in Tauranga, Rotorua, and Taupo.Collaborating with local partners, media, and community leaders to make sure we're sharing the right messages at the right time.Creating content (think websites, social media, press releases, stories) that engages people and promotes family and sexual violence prevention in an inclusive and accessible way.Localising national campaigns to make sure wider across country messages resonate with local community.Helping to analyse campaign results to see what's working and where we can improve.Supporting local prevention projects with communication strategies and content.Skills and ExperienceWe need someone who's passionate about the cause and excited to jump in and get involved. You don't need to be a sexual or family violence expert right away, but you should have:A love for community building and a drive to work on family violence and sexual violence prevention.Great communication skills (writing, talking, listening), and experience creating successful content for different platforms.Experience or a qualification in media, communications, or storytelling.Cultural responsiveness, with an understanding of working with diverse communities and supporting Maori aspirations.A willingness to learn and grow with us.A full and unrestricted NZ driving licence.Why Join Tautoko Mai?At Tautoko Mai, we value integrity, respect, and community collaboration.
