About the role Our Communication and Engagement activities provide a face to Otorohanga District Council and enable our community to connect with our organisation in a meaningful way. Our vision is that the business of Council is understood, that the lines of communication both in and out are always open, and that our community trusts that Council has their best interests at the core of everything that we do.About you As Communications and Engagement Advisor you will have the ability to advise and influence, as well as undertake a wide range of communications tasks - from planning and writing, to website updates, and face-to-face engagement. To be successful in this role you will have:Excellent communication skillsAn eye for detail and an analytical mindThe ability to engage and connect a diverse range of stakeholdersRelevant experience and/or qualificationThe Manager is open to developing the right person so if you don't meet all aspects of the role but are open to learning and working hard then this may be the role for you.As part of working ODC you may be relied upon to support the response in the event of a civil emergency. You will be provided with all the necessary training to support such a response.Remuneration The remuneration range for this role is $68, 855 - $81,006 per annum.
