About this role:
The Communications Manager is responsible for the development and the ongoing management of the communications of Tuhoe-Te Uru Taumatua. Communications are the life blood that flows through the arteries of our organisation to our Tribals and iwi, a vehicle for keeping us connected. The Communications Manager will ensure that our communication is relevant, timely, consistent; and always supporting and promoting our values and goals of Tuhoetana and Te Mana Motuhake o Tuhoe.
As the Communications Manager youwillbe responsible fordeveloping and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that promotesTuhoeculture, values, and initiatives.
What we are wanting to see:
A Communications team that is inspired and capable to deliver content that informs and engages tribal communities. This is brought about through a connected interface between Tuhoe Te Uru Taumatua and Tuhoe tribal authorities in a manner reflective of Tuhoe and Tuhoetana.
About You:
Fluency in written and oral Te Reo o Tuhoe
Experience in a communication or similar role.
Understanding of Tuhoetana and Tuhoe politics.
Proven interpersonal - communication and influencing skills.
High level of written communication skills and attention to detail.
High level of skill in the areas of planning, organising, problem solving, decision making and initiative.
Tertiary qualification in Communications or similar discipline.
