Due to an internal career move/promotion, we now have a great opportunity for someone to join the team as a Commercial Underwriting Assistant.
YOUR ROLE Are you ready to dive into the fast-paced world of complex motor underwriting?
As a Commercial Underwriting Assistant , you'll play a crucial role in driving the success of our Complex Commercial Motor team.
Your mission: to ensure profitability, boost renewal retention, and achieve targeted growth within our Complex CMV portfolio.
You'll be at the heart of our operations, working to uphold our high Company Service Standards and making a real impact every day.
Key responsibilities: Prepare and provide new business, endorsement & renewal quotations of predominantly non-fleet & some fleet business within the Company's underwriting guidelines, procedures and delegated authorities.
Assist with the development and maintenance of the underwriting rules and guidelines for Complex CMV business including meeting our business division license and reinsurance requirements.
Assist Commercial Motor Underwriters in servicing & answering our brokers partners queries and other requirements.
Provide assistance to the Commercial Motor Underwriters & National Motor Manager in end of month confirmation of renewal & new business placement.
Develop & maintain a strong understanding of NZI's Fleet Risk Management & other capabilities to deliver great customer outcomes.
ABOUT YOU We'd love to hear from you if you're sales savvy and have the following skills and experience: Ideally experience in dealing with insurance brokers, ideally in sales distribution within the financial industry.
Experience in underwriting or claims within a commercial motor insurance environment would be preferrable.
Experience and commitment to providing superior internal and external customer service.
The ability to process high volumes of work and plan own workloads effectively.
Microsoft office skills, in particular Excel.
This is a permanent role based in Auckland.
Whilst we encourage flexible working this role will require you to work out of the office for at least 3 days a week.
