Millbrook Resort – Queenstown, South Island We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to fulfil a new senior leadership position, be part of our Millbrook Family, and join our world-class and high performing team.Proudly Awarded New Zealand's Leading Resort 2024 at the World Travel Awards.Our work environment is nurturing and supportive and we take great pride in being one of New Zealand's best places to work.The RoleThe Commercial Manager reports to the Director of Operations and has responsibility for leading our Marketing, Reservations and MICE teams and will manage our Revenue Management and Business Development functions. The Commercial Manager's role is to maximise revenue and develop business across the Resort for our accommodation, golf, food & beverage, and spa. The Commercial Manager will also ensure the Millbrook brand maintains its premium position and continues to develop and evolve with changes in the market.Key to success in this role is the development and execution of a resort wide commercial strategy and coordination of the above departments and functions making sure they are aligned in their approach and working towards common goals.Success ProfileA Bachelor of Commerce degree, or an equivalent qualification in a commercial field.5 years + previous experience as a senior leader, ideally within an upscale property in the tourism or hospitality industry.A proven track record of revenue growth and new client / market generation in a similar environment.Previous experience in marketing and developing a premium brand.Ability to build and foster relationships with clients, guests, Trade contacts, and external providers.Superior leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to motivate multiple departments and stakeholders to achieve a common goal.The ability to think strategically and develop strategy into annual business plans.Agile, flexible, and ability to thrive under pressure.My MillbrookWe believe our people are our greatest assets.
