Restaurant Manager

Giovi , which runs 3 Italian restaurants located in Queenstown, requires a full-time Restaurant Manager .

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small professional team with a focus on homemade pasta & pizza.

This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week and an hourly rate of $28 to $34 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Running the restaurant on a day-to-day basis ensuring that it is fit for purpose.

Monitoring customer satisfaction during service.

Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.

Managing bookings, reservations, and greeting guests.

Selecting, training, and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.

Pricing of menus, wine lists, and cocktail menu.

Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.

Planning and organizing special functions.

Managing maintenance and ensuring cleanliness of the front of house area.

Monitoring and complying with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act.

Maintaining food safety standards.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years' experience as a restaurant manager.

A passion and understanding of Italian food and long-term commitment to the profession.

Excellent presentation and personality, with a team player attitude.

Current LQC and manager's certificate.

Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
