ConsultANZ is looking for a Commercial Manager to join a top-notch civil engineering contractor in Auckland. This company is known for tackling challenging projects, and they're currently gearing up for a significant infrastructure job in the area. Main DutiesYour responsibilities include: Developing and implementing commercial strategies to achieve business goals and objectives. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company's revenue streams. Setting and monitoring sales targets and revenue goals. Building and maintaining relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners. Negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers to ensure profitable deals for the business. Analyzing sales and marketing data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly. Managing budgets and expenses related to commercial activities. Collaborating with other departments to ensure commercial activities align with overall business goals. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to commercial activities. Project forecasting and commercial reporting. Team management of the whole commercial function of the project Requirements Minimum 10+ years of experience working in the civil construction industry. Proven ability to lead and manage a team. Experience in Quantity Surveying and cost management. Knowledge and experience in a variety of contract forms and engagements. Ability in fiscal project management - subcontractor management, claims, variations, budgets, progress reporting. Ideally, JDE system user.
