As Commercial Manager you will be running a team of quantity surveyors and estimators on a number of heavy civil projects throughout the Auckland Region. As commercial manager role you will be expected to lead your team and oversee the following,
Negotiations and management of pre-contract agreementsPrepare and oversee budgets to optimize financial performanceNegotiate subcontractor packages and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and qualityEfficiently manage claims and resolve disputes to maintain project timelinesLead and mentor a high-performing commercial team, fostering growth and collaborationProvide comprehensive financial reporting to stakeholders for informed decision-makingImplement effective change management strategies to adapt to project requirementsRequirements
A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in the construction sector, with at least 2 years in a commercial management roleStrong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholdersProficiency in IT tools and software to streamline processes and reportingA driven, clear thinker with high aspirations for themselves and the companyJoining our team means being part of a dynamic and supportive work environment where your skills and expertise are valued.
