We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Track Civil Engineer/ Designer to join our vibrant and enthusiastic Engineering team based in Auckland. You're a driven Track or Rail Engineer with an interest in Track engineering and will be undertaking Permanent Way Engineering and Alignment Design, Rail corridor drainage design, Rail Maintenance Access Roads (RMAR) design and Track formation design.  The Opportunity  •Undertake geometric track designs (plain line and turnouts) using relevant design software packages such as: Bentley Microstation, 12D and Power Rail Track;  •Engage and undertake rail civil designs focusing on drainage, formation and track structure;  •Utilize interpersonal skills liaising with other disciplines and specialists from areas such as Overhead Line Equipment, Track, Signalling, Geotechnical and Civil Structures; •Produce high quality engineering drawings using a relevant CAD software package such as: Bentley Microstation or AutoCad; and  •Prepare technical reports. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.  You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.  Is this role right for you?  •Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in aspects of Track engineering / Civil Engineering;  •Demonstrated experience in one or more of the below aspects of Track engineering / civil engineering within the rail corridor: Permanent Way Engineering and Alignment Design, Rail corridor drainage design, Rail Maintenance Access Roads (RMAR) and/ or Track Formation design; •Competent in the use of rail design software packages such as: Bentley Microstation, 12D, Power Rail Track and/or AutoCad; •Understanding of railway track infrastructure throughout the engineering process from project inception to delivery, operation and maintenance; and •Fantastic interpersonal skills and effective report writing.  What we offer you  At Arup, we care about each member's success, so we can grow together.
