Commercial Development PartnerOver the last decade, this national provider of innovative virtual healthcare services has established itself as a pillar of strength to Kiwi's, supporting the health and wellbeing of people across New Zealand.A critical part of the continued expansion and success of this organisation is a newly created Commercial Development Partner, driving revenue and growth from existing relationships and partnerships.
This will ensure more New Zealanders have the opportunity to benefit from the outstanding health support services the organisation offers.Turanga | The RoleReporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Commercial Development Partner manages existing key commercial and internal stakeholder relationships to build long-term profitable partnerships, maximising commercial return for the organisation.Using deep commercial analysis skills, the Commercial Development Partner contributes to the development and implementation of effective strategies driving revenue growth, expanding market share and enhancing the profitability of the organisation.
Nga haepapa | ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with Service Delivery Managers, the Commercial Development Partner is responsible for:Identifying opportunities for growth, market expansion, and revenue generation by pursuing new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliancesInforming service development with a focus on tangata whai ora (service users) and co-design approachesBuilding and maintaining relationships with key partners, understanding their requirements and providing innovative tailored solutionsLeading contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal developmentConducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioningUtilising analytical skills to evaluate and provide guidance on pricing strategies, optimise pricing models, and recommend pricing adjustmentsMonitoring sales performance, analysing sales data, and implementing corrective actions when necessaryEnsuring compliance with contractual obligations and legal requirements.Ou pukenga | Your backgroundBachelor's degreeProven experience in a similar business development roleBackground in the healthcare sector preferredA mix of public and private sector experience is preferredExperience in Te Ao Maori a strong advantageDemonstrated experience in business development, sales and contract negotiationsTrack record of performing against targets.Ahuatanga whaiaro | Your personal attributesCommercially aware, able to understand the drivers of performance and profitability in a social responsibility settingCommitment to tikanga and te reo MaoriCurious and analytical, an open thinker, able to engage in discussion with a willingness to consider alternative points of viewCollaborative by nature, decisive when requiredOutcome focused, able to provide clarity of plan and performanceConfident in balancing delivery now with an eye to a sustainable futureNaturally able to build strong stakeholder networksExceptional verbal and written communication skillsA digital native.Working across the country alongside government agencies, iwi partners, suppliers and other external parties, this role has the ability to make true impact on the health outcomes of New Zealand communities.
