This role is critical in driving achievement of the company's strategic goals by managing key business areas.This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Chief Executive. As Commercial and Operations Manager, you will ensure key commercial and operational processes are embedded. Once this foundation is created, the successful candidate will also identify and develop opportunities that will create additional value for the business.Key responsibilities:Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and capitalise on market opportunities within the Foodservice sector.Establish and refine key commercial frameworks and processes within the business.Create and implement strategies to streamline operations and enhance operational efficiency.Drive the cultivation of a commercial mindset across the organisation, ensuring opportunities are appropriately capitalised on.Identify opportunities to optimise revenue generation through product/service innovation, setting pricing strategies, and market segmentation.Analyse market trends and consumer needs to identify business opportunities and guide product portfolio decisions.Contribute to the evaluation of investment opportunities, assess risks and returns, and provide recommendations in relation to commercial investment.Develop business cases for strategic initiatives such as acquisitions and strategic partnerships.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track commercial and operational performance and measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.Streamline operations, reduce costs, and boost productivity while promoting an 'Owners Mindset' culture focused on top-line growth, bottom-line results, and customer-centric service delivery.Oversee operational risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks related to compliance and governance.Oversee the development of operational plans and budgets and set performance targets.Lead by example, through a safety mindset and behaviours and incorporate safety into commercial thinking and projects.About youThe ideal candidate for this role possesses relevant commercial expertise and is adept at implementing and reinforcing commercial and operational frameworks within an organisation to drive efficiency and profitability. You will thrive on challenging conventional thinking and have a proven track record in supporting business growth initiatives.
