Our Commercial and Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Commercial and Marketing team through social media management, brand management, game day activation, and implementation of marketing strategies. This position requires a strong organisational skill set, attention to detail, excellent relationship management skills and a passion for rugby.Your responsibilities include:Lead, develop, implement, and upload content aligned to the Rugby Southland and Southland Stags brand on social media platforms.Actively engage with the Rugby Southland and Southland Stags audience.Provide weekly campaign updates, including detailed metrics and data analysis, for optimisation and performance tracking.Stay updated with social media trends, especially those related to the sports industry.Manage and organise marketing activities, including photoshoots and media days.Assist with sponsor and stakeholder servicing.Develop and manage small-scale commercial initiatives to drive revenue growth.Capture video, motion, and still photography for marketing purposes.Create social media tiles and marketing assets such as team posters, billboards, newspaper ads, and website articles.Assist with NPC operations, including home game matches.Act as an active member of the match day team. Assist with match day operations and lead fan engagement activations and setups.As the successful candidate, you will have:A minimum of 3 years marketing/business industry experience (preferred, not essential)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSound experience managing social media platforms and campaignsAdept in using Microsoft Office suite and Canva software.Ability to take ownership, manage timelines and prioritiesFlexible and adaptable - willing to work outside of core hours of work when required.About us:Established in 1887 we continue to be the overarching administrators of rugby in the Southland region to this day.
