Site Supervisor Wanted
Work Location: Auckland Region
Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, Monday to Friday on roster), Permanent role
Your pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on your experience and skills
We are a well-established construction company located in Auckland. With the development of our business, we would like to hire a Site Supervisor to assist with our projects. We are looking for highly skilled and competent candidate. In this role, you will work on different sites across Auckland Region.
You are required to:
· Assist project managers in planning and organizing scaffolding projects
· Read and understand building plans, prepare scaffolding work plans and drawings
· Design and preplan the scaffold gear list including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, supports, etc.
· Manage all site activities and workforce to ensure project deadlines are met
· Make plans to schedule timeframe, arrange delivery and assign workers and scaffolding material required for each project
· Work closely with the team and clients to ensure the projects are completed within the negotiated timeframe and specifications
· Managing the site operation from set up to completion by implementing robust project methodology
· Check working sites before starting and initiating pre-start meetings
· Lead a team of scaffolding workers to deliver plans on site
· Prepare and check scaffold task analysis and scaffolding scheme on site
· Supervise scaffolding work and mentor new team members ensuring compliance with best practice guidelines
· Liaise with clients on site to ensure their needs are met in line with regulations and standards
· Run Health and Safety tool box meetings and inspect gears ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
· Complete daily work diary records for each site, delegate job tasks to appropriate team members and monitor the team member's work performance
To be successful you will need to:
Have at least 5 years solid relevant experience, or
at least a relevant level 4 qualification or above, can be equivalent overseas qualification
Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
have "can-do" attitude
