Time left to apply: End Date: October 31, 2024 (12 days left to apply) Job requisition ID: JR-0000009602 About the Role Propel your regulatory career in debt management in this exciting role Work in a supportive and flexible work environment, hybrid office/WFH Permanent full time, Palmerston North or Wellington As a Collections Officer, you're responsible for actively participating in a modern, responsive, regulatory approach to the collection and recovery of debts owed to NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi and the crown. Completing operational activities that result in the collection of debt and eventual reduction of our overall debt portfolio while enabling those we regulate to be compliant. This is a great role that will challenge you and your debt collection ability while also providing you opportunities to work on team improvement initiatives and your ongoing development. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Experience in a collection's and/or a contact centre environment Great initiative and a positive attitude with an empathetic and inquisitive approach Attention to detail and curiosity to investigate further Proven ability to investigate thoroughly and make appropriate recommendations for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi and our debtors Ability to analyse and interpret documentation and legislation and explain this to our debtors You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
