The Role We have an outstanding opportunity to join the Blue Sky team as a Coldstore Supervisor. This is a hands-on role responsible for all aspects of the frozen process following on from production through to loadout. You will ensure that all chilled products either Export or Local market are equilibrated to the required temperatures, scanned/checked prior to dispatch and loaded out to the appropriate standards to meet all NZMPI and OMAR requirements. Responsibilities will include: Inspect and ensure product complies with OMAR'S, regulatory manuals and marketing specifications. Check and ensure chiller operations, product handling, stamping, and grading are working efficiently to company and NZMPI standards. Monitor the processes as per the company HACCP and RMP programs. Ensure that staff are adequately trained and have a good understanding of health and safety policies and procedures including the safe operation of all equipment and machinery. Have a good understanding of all company policies, procedures. Ensure continuity of production by liaising and developing a close and productive relationship with company supervisors, compliance and technical managers, NZMPI and Asure quality personnel. Liaise with the Production Manager, HR team, boning supervisors, and quality control officers to ensure production requirements, shift staffing needs, and quality feedback between the chilled equilibration facility and boning room are effectively managed. About you: Have a minimum of 2 years practical experience. Excellent knowledge and understanding of health and safety processes Digitally literate, particularly with Microsoft Office. Previous experience as a leading hand or supervisor. Attention to detail, highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Full NZ Drivers License with F endorsement.
