Mo te turanga - About the role As a Cloud Engineer in our Technology Operations domain, you'll play a key role in helping to develop and support ANZ's Cloud Infrastructure shared services through application of DevOps methodologies and principles.
This role is responsible for the design, implementation and quality of cloud-based solutions.

- What will your day look like This role is responsible for the design, implementation and quality of cloud-based solutions.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for helping application teams consume our new cloud native application platform, build out infrastructure as code, building CI/CD pipelines and support production releases.
You'll be using automation to deliver infrastructure, applications and fully automate our security and governance controls.
As a Cloud Engineer, you are expected to: Proactively identify and call out delivery, security and operational risks and help to identify and deliver appropriate cloud features, controls, or mitigations, including risks to other parts of the organisation.
Work with business stakeholders to identify and understand key business value and risks of cloud hosted and cloud native services to identify and implement improvements to reduce the risk of change and outages to those services.

- What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Able to apply the knowledge and theory, with demonstrated experience producing quality outcomes.
Ability to apply judgement to solve problems and to articulate the rationale behind the solutions you are proposing.
Experience building and operating Cloud technology at scale, using GCP or AWS.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
