Our cloud data platform is key part of our strategy to bring world-class data and analytics services to our cooperative.
You will join our team of data professionals focused on designing and building our cloud data platform.
The team works closely with, and to support, the analysts and data scientists within the organisation.Please note this role is with our Christchurch-based data engineering team, and candidates who are currently in Christchurch or willing to relocate will be given preference.About youThe role requires an individual with a high level of data and cloud knowledge – you will have previously worked in a role where either cloud platform engineering or data engineering were your focus.
You may have a background in traditional data-warehousing and business intelligence or have a more cloud-platform focused background with a good knowledge of data tools and approaches.Current experience with major cloud data platforms will be highly advantageous.
GCP is our platform of choice, but relevant experience in other cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake…) and a willingness to cross-skill are welcomed.Other relevant experience could include:SQL, Python or other data-manipulation and programming languagesETL tools experience – on-prem or cloud-based.
