Clinical Services Manager - Wellington

Details of the offer

Full time
Whanau Awhina Plunket is a well-known charity that supports the health and wellbeing of tamariki under-five and their whanau. We provide clinical support through our traditional well child checks and 24/7 telehealthcare via PlunketLine.
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a confident people leader to join our team as a Clinical Services Manager. While our preference is to have a Wellington-based kaimahi, we may consider applications from surrounding areas for the right candidate.
You'll join us at an exciting time of change and innovation, with nurse prescribing and immunisation pilots in the pipeline. There are bound to be some exciting changes to manage alongside the day-to-day mahi involved in leading a geographically dispersed and busy team.
Drawing on your appreciation and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity considerations in Aotearoa, you'll understand how to ensure methods of service delivery support us to improve outcomes for mokopuna Maori as well as other whanau who may find accessing healthcare challenging.
You will be able to showcase your experience in coaching and supporting high-performing leaders who enable their kaimahi to thrive. You will be a strategic thinker with experience in motivating your direct reports and their teams to reach strategic organisational goals.
Providing leadership at this level will require you to have established networks with iwi providers and across the health sector. You will be adept at managing multiple contracts and making budgetary and staffing decisions to support your teams in doing their best mahi.
If this feels like you, make sure you hold the qualifications below before applying:
A registered nurse with a current annual practicing certificate
A full NZ driving license
Postgraduate nursing or health qualification (this is preferred but not required)
The right to work in Aotearoa
If you're seeking to work for an organisation that values improving society, join us at Whanau Awhina Plunket. In line with our values, we believe in caring for our people to support your wellbeing and ongoing professional growth. As such, amongst other benefits, we offer our kaimahi:
Various wellbeing schemes such as a wellbeing day: use one of your sick leave days to proactively protect your well-being
Flexible working arrangements
Programmes to build your cultural competence so you can contribute to our goals most effectively
Access to our established networks such as hui whakarauora and hui a tau for our Maori kaimahi, Pacific Fono, Asian Networks, and other communities of interest focused on providing supportive spaces where kaimahi connect, enhance culturally safe practice, and collectively consider how to best deliver to whanau we serve.
Applications must be made online and close on 17 November 2024.
Please note, we will consider applications as they are received and may close this advert early if we find a suitable candidate.
Whanau Awhina Plunket is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of pepi, tamariki, and their whanau/family. We have committed to adopting a pro-equity approach where we give life to the Treaty principles of tino rangatiratanga, partnership, active protection, equity, and options in our mahi/work to ensure healthy tamariki, confident whanau, and connected communities. This journey is creating exciting career opportunities. If you would like to contribute to the important mahi we do, nau mai, haere mai.
