We are currently working with an organisation who is a leading provider of Residential Aged Care Facilities and they are needing a senior registered nurse to join their team based in  Ashburton.  Their goal is to ensure the delivery of respectful and caring services, in an environment that is safe for clients.
In this leadership position the successful candidate will be required to provide supervision and direction to staff with their active and applied knowledge.
This is a full time permanent position, working Mon-Fri with some "on-call"
The Role Supporting the Care Home Manager in the effective management of the facility and assuming their responsibilities in their absence. Actively participating in the facility Quality and Risk Management Programme seeking continuous improvement of all services Monitoring the provision of care to residents to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained Providing oversight of resident clinical records and recordings to ensure they meet organisational and legislative requirements Active involvement in all aspects of HR management Co-ordinating the provision and use of clinical supplies within the facility ensuring resources are allocated and utilised cost effectively Participating in the implementation of an effective education programme The Ideal Candidate Must be a NZ/Australian Registered Nurse with current APC At least 3-5 years post registration experience Knowledge of the health and disability sector standards and the ability to manage a robust quality system Experience working as a Senior Nurse or past  leadership/management experience Experience working within a  dementia unit is preferred but not essential as training will be given Leadership experience in mentoring, coaching and developing a team to achieve individual and business goals Sound management, analytical and decision-making skills interRAI training,  Medi-Map and eCase experience advantageous A great communicator who can competently communicate verbally and in writing Computer literate with the ability to confidently use a range of programmes and systems Compassionate, empathetic and possess a positive outlook If this sounds like the right opportunity for you then apply now with you CV to be considered.
