Service: Regional Rehabilitation Services Contract: Permanent, Full-time Salary: Negotiable based on APEX MECA or PSA Allied Health. Korero mo te turanga - About the role To provide high quality clinical psychology service in the assessment and treatment of clients, ensuring clients' needs are met in a culturally, clinically and legally safe manner. Clinical psychologists work as part of multidisciplinary teams to provide psychological assessments and interventions to clients in hospital. They also provide a range of other services to support the development and function of their teams and the organisation as a whole. Responsibilities include: Case consultation Staff training and supervision Leadership and involvement in service development activities Research and evaluation-related activities Mo to matou ropu - About our team The Regional Rehabilitation and Extended Care Service is a 24-hour inpatient service at Ratonga Rua Hospital, providing both longer-term care and intensive rehabilitation within both secure and open settings. The service links into other elements within the hospital and community-based resources, providing clients with individualised recovery programmes. Mou - About you You will have the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team that supports meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders. Essential experience and capability include: A sound knowledge of psychopathology, and psychological theories Knowledge of ICD10 diagnoses and at least one therapy model Ability to assess, diagnose and treat people experiencing coexisting mental health and addiction Experience with psychological testing Ability to provide interventions for clients with trauma Ability to advise, consult and educate clients about treatment options Ability to attend and actively participate in regular meetings for assessment and planning Essential Professional Qualifications: Minimum of a Master Degree in Psychology and Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent Registration with NZ Psychologist Board, with Clinical Psychology Vocational Scope of Practice Current annual practising certificate E pa ana ki a tatou - About us We embrace diversity and welcome applications from all people, including all gender identities, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, disability and religions.
