Clinical Psychologist Job In New Zealand

Te Whatu Ora is seeking a clinical psychologist to join their team at the Northwestern cycle path in Auckland city, New Zealand. The Assertive Community Outreach Service (ACOS), an intensive community mental health team, provides flexible, collaborative, and responsive treatment and support to patients within the Whaiora hospital. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide comprehensive mental health support focused on Whaiora peoples and will work in a multidisciplinary, mobile-based team in Point Chevalier, Auckland. This full-time position offers a competitive salary package of $83,708 per year, with the ability to work 9-10 hours per day within the Assertive Community Service department.Qualifications for Clinical Psychologist:Candidate must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an accredited institution.Must be certified to practice as a psychologist.Experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, substance abuse issues, and other complex psychological conditions.Ability to provide quality care within the hospital.Skills for Clinical Psychologist:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to engage with clients and provide resistance to treatments.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.A commitment to community-based care and willingness to work with diverse populations is essential.Benefits:ACOS provides vital mental health services to individuals within the hospital.Competitive salary packages for staff.Opportunity to work closely with a team of professionals from diverse backgrounds.Flexibility to manage and deliver services caseload.ACOS organizations offer training and professional development opportunities to their staff.The Clinical Psychologist within the Assertive Outreach model of service will use specialist skills to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
