With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join the Mental Health and Addictions Service – Te Matapuna o te Ora at MidCentral. This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours per week.The Horowhenua Community Mental Health Service provides assessment and treatment within a recovery framework to those experiencing moderate to serious mental health and/or addiction difficulties. The role will sit in the Horowhenua Locality (Levin catchment area). The service is delivered in line with national and international best practice principles. Key tasks for this position will include undertaking psychological assessments and interventions with adults experiencing moderate to serious mental health and/or addiction needs in the community, including supporting transition to community-based care.Minimum RequirementsThe applicant must have a recognised qualification, registration, relevant experience in the mental health field, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and willingness to run groups and co-work extensively in a multi-disciplinary team setting.Why Join UsEmploying over 2500 people, MidCentral offers a supportive work environment that accepts and values all employees.
