Our Organisation Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua regions.
With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join the Mental Health and Addictions Service Te Matapuna o te Ora at MidCentral.
This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours per week.The Horowhenua Community Mental Health Service provides assessment and treatment within a recovery framework to those experiencing moderate to serious mental health and or addiction difficulties.
The role will sit in the Horowhenua Locality (Levin catchment area). The service is delivered in line with national and international best practice principles.
Key tasks for this position will include undertaking psychological assessments and interventions with adults experiencing moderate to serious mental health and or addiction needs in the community, including supporting transition to community-based care.
The applicant must have a recognised qualification, registration, relevant experience in the mental health field, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, willingness to run groups and co-work extensively in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
