We are looking for a New Zealand Registered Dietitian with passion and experience in delivering dietetic care to tamariki. In this role you will cater to tamariki requiring secondary care services and will work predominantly in the outpatient setting and at times providing inpatient or community visiting services. You will need to be family-centred and be an effective team member working with complex clients that have multiple disciplines working with the child/family/whanau.
As a Clinical Paediatric Dietitian, you will:
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for children with a variety of health conditions, including chronic illnesses, developmental challenges, and food allergies.
Work closely with paediatricians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and coordinate treatment plans.
Educate and counsel families on dietary management, meal planning, and nutritional strategies, empowering them to support their child's health journey.
Utilise hospital resources effectively, including access to dietary supplements, educational materials, and monitoring tools, to support patient care.
The working hours for this position are between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $88,627 to $107,600 (step 3-7) based on the PSA Allied Public Health and Technical MECA, dependent on skills and experience.

You will be a NZ Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practising Certificate and will have at least three years of previous comprehensive clinical experience including having worked specifically within paediatrics. Having a Dietitian Prescriber endorsement is essential.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
