About the role Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Health New Zealand Northland is looking for a motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist – Pain Management Service based at Whangarei Hospital.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an advanced nursing practice role and is responsible for providing specialist Pain Management and coordination of care to the Northland population experiencing acute or persistent (chronic) pain in the In-patient, Out-patient or Community environment.
The primary function of this role is to utilise specialist pain management nursing knowledge and skills to provide patient focused care and coordination that will optimise the patient's journey, improve health outcomes and ensure that an excellent quality of care is provided.
This is a 0.9FTE role working 36 hours per week for a fixed term ending 19 September 2025.
