Clinical Nurse Educator – Adult Community Mental Health Permanent, part-time (0.85 FTE) 34 hours per week Monday to Friday Based in Takapuna Are you an experienced nurse looking to progress on to an advanced nursing pathway? This is a direct clinical teaching role and support clinical education/training needs of nursing staff, role modelling excellent nursing practice for all nurses. You will support the development of presentation of in-house nursing education programmes to prepare New Graduate nurses, new RN's and existing RN's to community mental health nursing to meet new service requirements, technological advances, and clinical safety priorities across the service. You will be responsible for the assessing, planning, coordinating, facilitating/delivering and evaluating of a broad range of learning opportunities for nursing staff. To be successful in this role, you will need to be proactive and focussed on strengths and solutions, and have a current portfolio. You will have a passion for the care of our clients, and be sensitive to their needs: Current NZ registration and annual practicing certificate RN scope of practice and able to practice within mental health setting Current Full New Zealand Driver's license Post graduate qualification (certificate/diploma) in mental health practice Minimum of 5+ years in mental health clinical role with excellent reputation for clinical expertise Proficient (Level 3) PDRP working towards expert level (level 4) Experience in clinical professional leadership and team teaching You will be committed to your professional growth in a senior nursing role, and relish the opportunities given for training and development.
