This role is a full time, permanent position (40 hours/week).We are seeking applications from Registered nurses with a minimum of 3 years' work experience in Orthopaedics within the Operating Theatre.The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert clinical coordination, as well as clinical guidance to staff to ensure safe, effective surgical procedures are delivered to patients. Ensure consumables, consignment stock ie, implants are on hand. Responsible for purchasing/replacement asset items necessary to deliver care. Update preferences. Support staff learning to reach full potential in Orthopaedic procedures, facilitate education and resources.About youThe successful candidate will:Have minimum of 3 years' work experience in Orthopaedics within the Operating Theatre.Have excellent communication and leadership skills.Be accountable for consultation with Orthopaedic Consultants to ensure equipment is provided for cases, liaising with company reps and follow up.Communicate out to multi-disciplinary team on upcoming elective/Trauma/Acute cases.About the Team/Service/ LocationHealth New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
