Dunedin Hospital Salary band - $114,000 - $121,000 p.a pro-rata and Kiwisaver 0.4 FTE / 32 Hours per fortnight Permanent, part-time This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship, please ensure you already hold the right to work before applying. Our Gastroenterology Service in Dunedin Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse to join our friendly team on a part-time permanent basis.
Mo te turanga - About the role The Gastroenterology Department provides endoscopy service and is home to the broader Gastroenterology team of consultants, specialist nurses for IBD and Hepatology, and the National Bowel Screening Program coordinators.
Liaise with primary care, patients and whanau, the National Co-ordination Centre and the National Screening Unit. Undertake advanced patient assessments. Administrative duties including booking procedure appointments and entering data in a specialised database. Meet stringent Prevention Directorate reporting requirements. Providing robust quality information to Health New Zealand Southern and the Prevention Directorate. Direct reporting to the Health New Zealand Southern Bowel Screening Programme Clinical Leader. Travel throughout the Southern region will be required, along with some weekend and evening work for promotional events. Hours each day would be negotiated within the team, with some late hours needed (i.e., between 5pm and 8pm to facilitate contracting patients at home after usual working hours). Mou ake - About you Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand. Extensive recent knowledge in gastroenterology procedures and particularly colonoscopy will be required. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals. Utu whanui - Salary range This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($114,025 p.a) and Step 2 ($121,444 p.a pro-rata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 1.
