We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Registered Midwife to join our busy Maternity unit as the Clinical Midwife Manager. You must have experience in midwifery leadership and have vision and drive. Tauranga Maternity is a busy secondary care unit which provides care for women, their babies, and whanau in the Bay of Plenty. The midwifery team is committed to providing excellent maternal care and in supporting the development of new staff (including students and new graduate midwives and nurses).
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position require clinical expertise, leadership, and management skills. You will be responsible for ensuring an operationally safe and evidenced based practice environment in partnership with women and their whanau to achieve quality cares.
We are looking for a dynamic leader, problem solver and critical thinker who also has:
Significant experience (5+ years plus) in provision of midwifery care.
Proven ability and experience as a Midwife Coordinator, Leader, or Manager.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to support women, their whanau, and staff and to develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
Have a passion for utilising the individual skills and attributes of the team to build on a work environment that fosters collaboration, service resilience and excellence in care.
Ability to develop and bring out the best in others.
Ensuring an operationally safe and evidenced based practice environment in partnership with women and their whanau.
Experience in change management is desirable to continue a review of the model of care.
Demonstrate an understanding of business ethic and leadership.
