Adult Whangarei and Kaipara Mental Health and Addictions services (0.2FTE)
Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau advocates for affirmative action and actively seeks Maori into our workforce to reflect the community we serve. We are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and hold stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.
This is a clinical leadership role operating across the continuing care continuum within the adult mental health services for Whangarei and Kaipara.
Working in partnership with the Service Manager, the Clinical Head of Department will provide leadership across General Adult Community, Te Roopu Whitiora, Intensive Care Team, Dual Disability and Kaipara Community Team.
Offering an opportunity to shape and lead the service, at an exciting time of development and innovation, this role will work closely with the General Manager and Clinical Director to provide professional leadership with the aim of providing a high quality service to meet the community, service and organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will be one who is looking to make a contribution to improving outcomes for people accessing mental health care - in particular for Maori, with a focus on addressing inequity. As a member of the clinical governance forum it is important to have an interest in quality improvement, service development co-design and outcome measures.
In return we can offer you the opportunity to work in a service that has a robust clinical governance structure in place, high standards of care, a supportive team environment and an ability to contribute to improving services. We will support the person in this role to access leadership development opportunities.
It is anticipated that this role will be 0.2FTE as an annex to a substantive clinical position within one of the teams in the service.
