Guided by the Team Leader, Service Manager, and Clinical Director/Triaging Clinician, you will ensure adherence to booking practices in line with Ministry of Health (MoH) targets and standards. For further information about the administration and clerical pay equity settlement, please follow the link below:PSA National Health Administration Collective Agreement - FINALKey Responsibilities:Customer ServiceProvide exceptional service to patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders.Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.Patient Management Systems (SI PICS)Accurately and efficiently enter and manage patient data following MoH guidelines.Prioritize bookings based on need, ensuring alignment with Planned Care requirements.Communicate booking information clearly and concisely to patients.Coordinate diagnostic test timing and pre-booking requirements.Clinic UtilizationSchedule appointments using clinic templates to ensure high utilization rates.Minimize cancellations and maintain a six-week booking horizon.Support clinical teams with clinic preparation and outcome documentation.Surgical Waitlist ManagementAlign surgical waitlists with service priorities.Regularly review waitlists for accuracy and compliance.Consult with clinicians and management on waitlist queries when needed.Communication CollaborationDemonstrate positive and professional communication with all team members.Uphold confidentiality and deliver timely, accurate information to stakeholders.Contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.About youEssential:Strong customer service skills with a patient-centric approach.Technologically adept and quick to learn new systems.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven problem-solving abilities and teamwork experience.Desired:Experience in healthcare administration.Familiarity with medical terminology and patient management systems.Understanding of cultural diversity and healthcare needs.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the weaving of wellnesses.
