The purpose of this position is to lead the programme management of Whakaora, WVNZ's flagship climate program in the Pacific. This will include working closely with the country office teams implementing the program and liaison with WVNZ country program managers based in Wellington and Auckland. The key deliverable of the role is the timely and high-quality delivery of annual reporting due in Q1 2025 in liaison with the Pacific MERL focal point and Grants Acquisition lead. Strong competencies in program management, reporting, MERL is a must and expertise in climate programming an added value. As part of the Pacific team, you will make a substantive contribution to the wider work of World Vision as a member of the International Partnerships.
You are responsible for:
Day to day Whakaora Programme Management
Organisation and delivery of an online 4 – country cross learning workshop
Delivery of high-quality annual reporting in Q1 2025
External Liaison with MFAT
Internal communication and coordination with country teams in Vanuatu, PNG, Timor Leste and the Solomon Islands

Do you have:
Degree in a relevant discipline - development studies, human rights, social sciences, etc.
At least 7 years' experience in the design and management of development and/or emergency projects/programmes (with excellent project/programme management skills using current methodologies), with at least one year of overseas experience
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders, including government donors, and World Vision Field Offices.
Experience in monitoring and evaluation
Experience in program and financial management, including the preparation and analysis of financial and narrative reports
Experience in negotiating and managing partnerships for development outcomes
A commitment to the mission, core values and culture of World Vision NZ
A willingness to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
Home office with strong Wi-Fi connection to enable work-from-home (WFH).

Based in Auckland or Wellington (can be remote)
4 Month Contract, 2.5 days a week.
