Our Climate Action Team is growing! We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Administrator to join the team. This role is part-time, 25 hours per week with flexibility around hours worked. The role will support delivery of Northland Regional Council's Climate Resilient Communities Fund and work across the Climate Action team offering dedicated coordination and administration support. Key responsibilities of the role will include maintaining Climate Resilient Communities Fund budgets and records, raising purchase orders, drafting funding deeds and securing progress reporting from fund recipients. You'll also be interacting with our communities, listening to their aspirations, building relationships and helping to facilitate climate action across our region.
You will provide general secretarial services for the Joint Climate Change Adaptation Committee, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and liaising with Elected Members. In addition, you will also offer Personal Assistance to the Group Manager when the Group Personal Assistant is away.

Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, who will excel at building trust, and maintaining positive interactions with colleagues and stakeholders. In addition, you will also bring the following:

High level Proficiency in use of Microsoft applications especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
3+ years relevant administrative experience.
Budget management experience.
Minute Taking experience.
Ideally have working knowledge and experience in data management such as IRIS or GIS systems.
Experience and understanding of working for local government is desirable.
Experience as a Personal Assistant would be an advantage.
