Client Advisor / Bas Accountant

We are currently working on behalf of a well-regarded C.A firm based in Upper Hutt who are on the lookout for a Business Advisory Accountant to join their team. As a Business Advisory Accountant, you will be able to maintain a portfolio of clients and provide accounting advice to SME level companies regarding their tax, financial statements, general bookkeeping, and payroll processes. This role is ideal for someone who has current CA public practice experience that wants a well-defined work/life balance and autonomy in the office. No more late-night grafts and overwhelming deadlines to manage. Just smooth transactions and exceptional customer service! Their office is based near Upper Hutt train station which is close to amenities, cafes, and restaurants. Ideal for meetings and after work catch-ups. There is also parking on site available. What you'll get in return: An enticing annual salary package between $65,000 - $80,000 P/A Access to a supportive and highly experienced leadership team to learn from A defined career path Training and development plans A chance to work for an established brand A sociable team environment An opportunity to work with like-minded professionals who are all striving towards the same goals What you'll be doing: Managing a portfolio of clients via face-to-face meetings, phone, and email-based communication Full end-to-end client advisory Conducting various tax returns and compliance Conducting reconciliations and financial statements Running payroll runs for a variety of clients What you'll need to succeed: Be enrolled into the CAANZ programme or have recently achieved CA status At least 2 years of recent Public Practice experience Ability to use XERO or MYOB at an intermediate/advanced level Capable of using MS Excel to an intermediate/advanced level Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Be immaculately presented Have NZ Residency or NZ Citizenship What's next?
