You will:Lead a team of cleaning staff to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards are consistently met across all University facilities.Ensure strategic and operational objectives are met through the attraction, development, and retention of high calibre staff.Ensure the cleaning team provides a functional, effective, and customer-focused service in alignment with the Property and Campus Services Plan and UC Vision.Ensure the Cleaning services function effectively and efficiently within budget parameters.Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.Uphold the University's commitment to providing a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for all stakeholders.You will have at least 7 years of commercial cleaning experience in a management position, and you will be able to demonstrate experience in:Managing and developing a team.Development and maintenance of quality standards for the provision of services.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Managing contracts and monitoring and maintaining service level agreements for external suppliers and services.Performance in managing waste/cleaning services across a large organisation with sustainability/recycling targets.Managing a budget.Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines, procedures, and practices.Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.Computer literacy with MS Office and analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to demonstrate alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.About the University:UC is made up of approximately 150 buildings across 87 hectares, covering a gross floor area of 223,000m2.
